Mentoring
Students are filled with imagination and
dreams. We understand the value of cultivating those dreams through
character building, encouragement, and cultural exposure. Our mentors are caring adults that are eager to provide guidance
and support to young people in our community. Our mentoring program includes: |
School-Based Mentoring
|

- One hour a week spent with the mentee at school at a designated meeting place on the school's campus
- Monthly group mentoring sessions
- Quarterly field trip opportunities
- Participating Elementary Schools - Carver, E.D. Nixon, Davis, and Floyd
- Participating Middle Schools - Belligrath, Goodwyn, McKee, and Southlawn

Community-Based Mentoring

- Four to ten hours a month spent with the mentee
- Relationships extend into the community (within Montgomery County) at various locations to include libraries, community centers, restaurants, museums, sporting events, movie theatre, and other locations approved by the PIE staff, mentor, and parent of the mentee.
- Family involvement activities
- Monthly group mentoring sessions
- Quarterly field trip opportunities
- Participating Elementary Schools - Dozier, and Morningview
- Participating Middle Schools - Belligrath, Capital Heights, Goodwyn, and Southlawn
