Our Programs

 

Tutoring

Our tutors provide special instruction for students to achieve academically. Many
students need one on one tutoring to break through to fluent reading, which is
the key to all learning. Our focus areas are elementary level reading and math as we:
 
  • Tutor at least one hour per week
  • Provide approximately 5,000 hours of tutoring services and support per
    academic year
  • Serve the following elementary schools:

  2. Brewbaker Primary
  3. Chisolm Elementary
  4. Dalraida Elementary
  5. E.D. Nixon Elementary
  6. Flowers Elementary
  7. Garrett Elementary
  8. Halcyon Elementary
  9. Highland Avenue Elementary
  10. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary
  11. Morningview Elementary
  12. Pintlala Elementary
  13. T.S.Morris Elementary
  14. Vaughn Road Elementary
  15. Wares Ferry Elementary

PURPOSE

    The purpose of the PIE Tutoring Program is to enrich the students learning and help boost the students’ confidence.

GOALS

    To help build the reading levels, reading comprehension, and math skills of students in the Montgomery Public Schools System. Tutoring area is 1st grade reading and math.
