Highlights - Last Week in Review

On August 25th, PIE hosted our monthly group mentoring session for the community-based mentoring program. The topic was "Tools You Can Use," and mentees were given encouragement, helpful study tips, and school supplies as a catalyst to jumpstart their school year.

Growing Our Programs
Last week, we also hosted a Mentor Training and a Parent/Mentee Training. Mentor Trainings are held at various locations and dates each month. Potential volunteers learn more about our mentoring programs and their possible roles within the programs.

Our Parent/Mentee Trainings present the opportunity for parents and mentees to become oriented with our programs while meeting PIE staff members and gaining an understanding of program expectations.
